Academy Freeski Rec - Level 7

Our Freeski Rec 7 program develops young skiers in the exciting and expressive sport of freestyle skiing. Athletes in this program must be able to confidently ski alpine terrain with an athletic body position and correct turn shape. The athletes will spend time developing technical skiing skills, including position and balance, edge control and timing & coordination. They will learn the essential tools to jump correctly, ride boxes or rails and be introduced to spins and grabs. This program aligns with the Freestyle Canada curriculum and is designed to be fun and progressive in a non-competitive environment. Its development is in alignment with our competitive stream should any athletes decide to move in that direction. Athletes in this program are in the “Active for Life” phase of their long-term athletic development.
